(Fall 2022 to Present) I am pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Pure Mathematics and participating in graduate-level research.

  • Freely published all my class notes, resources, study guides, tips and guides, and homework hints and solutions (with the professor’s blessing) 
  • Organized and led two introductory workshops in crochet (with applications to mathematics education) for the CSUF community

Professional History

Private Math Tutor

(September 2022 to Present) I provided free tutoring to students in my math courses and freely published all my class notes, resources, study guides, tips and guides, and homework hints and solutions (with the professor’s blessing).

Key Achievements

  • Students with whom I worked directly stated that my help has been invaluable for their success.
  • Students I have never met thanked me for providing access to my freely available materials each semester.

Teaching Apprentice

(August 2023 to December 2023) I facilitated group work, held office hours, helped with grading, and co-taught a Business Calculus course. 

Key Achievements

  • Students reported greater understanding and retention of the material after attending my office hours.
  • Students commented that the feedback I provided on each assignment greatly aided in their understanding.

Grader

(August 2023 to December 2023) Under the direct supervision of Dr. Tyler McMillen, I evaluated students’ quizzes (given twice weekly) in Linear Algebra and Differential Equations. 

Key Achievements

  • My supervisor routinely complimented my work and expressed that my work was of a much higher quality than was expected for an undergraduate student.
  • Students reported that my evaluation of their work was fair and that my written feedback aided in deeper understanding.
